WHY AM I GIVING THIS ALL AWAY?

In August of 2020, after 16 years in the classroom at an experiential learning school, I unexpectedly found myself at home, without a job, and with two elementary-aged children of my own who needed to somehow continue their education…thanks, Covid! We were living in a multigenerational home, and this gave our family no choice but to leave the school that we adored. 

We…were…devastated.

I was faced with the overwhelming task of providing my kids with a learning experience that they were used to. The bar was set very high.

So after an unfortunate, short-lived experience with a public online school that left my kids in tears, and with two GIGANTIC boxes of workbooks to return, I put on my big girl pants, straightened my crown, and reminded myself that I knew how to do this!

I decided that I was going to homeschool my kids and I was determined to kill it! Through a lot of research, I got familiar with the state standards, and figured out how to tie together all the subject areas with engaging and hands-on activities. In the end, I learned how to take something I loved doing professionally and turn it into a successful and memorable learning experience for my children.

Honestly, it was my favorite school year ever! My kids and I now have a strong bond and palpable affection for one another. They are safely back in school now and thriving! In fact, their new teachers RAVE about the creativity and deep thinking they exhibit.

I have found a new passion at HOME, providing AIDE by writing experiential and thematic unit studies for busy teachers, homeschool parents, and childcare providers like you. I can now continue to be there for my kids in a way that just wasn’t possible while working full time. And now, with your support, I can make a positive impact on the lives of students and teachers around the world AND be a great Mom right here at home.

To be completely transparent, this journey has given me purpose again…something that was missing after the devastating decision to leave the classroom. Like many people around the world in 2020, I was suffering. But finding my creativity again, supporting my kids, and now helping you, I feel useful and happy again.

I could not be more thankful.

Every single developmental skill for this age range has been thoughtfully crafted into the activities, lessons, and experiments in every single unit. This will ensure that your students will receive EVERYTHING THEY NEED to grow and reach those developmental milestones when they are ready.
